Two of our partners spent more than a decade in building and construction, so we understand quotes, progress claims and subbies. Here is how we help.
Xero or MYOB bookkeeping, receipts captured on your phone and BAS lodged on time.

Know the real margin on every job, with costing and quoting software linked to your accounts.

Taxable payments annual reports lodged correctly, plus advice on contractor versus employee rules.

Manage progress claims, retentions and supplier payments so cash keeps flowing between jobs.

Claim utes, tools and equipment correctly, including asset write-offs and finance options.

Sole trader, partnership or company returns, and advice on the right structure as you grow.

Running a trade or construction business means long hours on site, chasing quotes and managing crews. Paperwork, BAS and tax are understandably the last thing on your mind. Our team includes people who have spent more than a decade in building and construction, so we speak your language and know where the pressure points are.
Knowing what each job really costs is the difference between a profitable year and a busy year with nothing to show for it. We help you set up cloud estimating, job costing and quoting tools that link to Xero or MYOB, so you can see profit by job as the work happens.
We look after BAS and GST, PAYG withholding, super for your workers and the Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) for payments to subcontractors. We also help you get contractor and employee arrangements right, a common area of ATO attention in construction.
Whether you are an electrician, plumber, tiler or painter, or a builder running residential, commercial or industrial projects, we support trade businesses at every stage. We meet clients face to face in Sydney and work online with tradies right across Australia.

We take the time to understand your personal or business circumstances so we can provide advice that is accurate and relevant.
From tax returns to ongoing compliance, we manage the process efficiently and ensure everything is completed correctly.
We stay connected throughout the year to help you plan ahead, avoid surprises, and stay in control of your finances.
The Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) tells the ATO about payments you make to contractors for building and construction services. If your business provides these services and pays subcontractors, the report is due by 28 August each year. We prepare and lodge it for you.
If a subcontractor is paid mainly for their labour, you may need to pay super for them even if they have an ABN. We review how your workers are engaged so you avoid back-payments and penalties.
Vehicles and tools used for your business can usually be claimed, in proportion to business use. Utes designed to carry a tonne or more are treated differently from cars. We make sure you claim the right amount and keep the records the ATO expects.
Many tradies start as sole traders and move to a company as profits grow or they take on staff. We compare tax, liability and running costs so you change structure at the right time.
GST is generally reported when you invoice or when you are paid, depending on whether you account on an accruals or cash basis. Small businesses with turnover under $10 million can usually use the cash basis, which can help cash flow.
